The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral church located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The closest métro station is Courcelles, line 2.
The cathedral was established and consecrated in 1861.
It was the first Russian Orthodox place of worship in France.
The name of the orthodox church is named after was Alexandrz Nevsky Prince of Novgorod (1236–1240; 1241–1256; 1258–1259), Grand Prince of Kiev (1246–1263) and Grand Prince of Vladimir (1252–1263).
