Montrésor Village

Montrésor is located in the Indre-et-Loire department in the  Centre-Val de Loire region.

 It is a member of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (The Most Beautiful Villages of France)

Legend has it that in the 6th century, King Gontran and his squire were led to a treasure by a lizard covered in gold, and they had a castle built on the hill that sheltered the hoard.
