From Paris Gare de l’Est is 1h30 by train Saint Etienne’s cathedral was built in the 12th century. Nevertheless, it was mainly rebuilt in Gothic style. The west façade (in Baroque style) and two close spans were added in the 17th century. The Notre-Dame-en-Vaux is a Roman Catholic church. It is build around 1157, ended in 1217. The church was classified a historic monument in 1840. In 1998 it was registered on the World Heritage List by UNESCO.
