Laval

Laval is located in  the Mayenne department in the region Pays de la Loire.

 

From Gare Paris Montparnasse is 2 hours by train.

 

The 16th-century house known as the Maison des Maires (Mayors’ House) is located at 31 Grande Rue in Laval. It is believed to have been built between 1495 and 1510.

The castle is constructed in the 10th century.

The Old Castle is remarkable for its 11th century chapel as well as for its imposing main tower.

 

The Castle, which served as a prison from the Revolution to 1911, has been open to the public since the 1920s
