Chantilly

Chantilly is a historic French castle located in the town of Chantilly, in the department Oise.

 

The site comprises two attached buildings: the Petit Château, built around 1560 and the Grand Château, which was destroyed during the French Revolution and rebuilt in the 1870s.

 

From Paris you can take the TER of the D to Chantilly.

It is decorated with white and gold woodwork dating from approximately 1720 and adorned with hunting motifs

The large suite was used as a reception room for the Princes of Condé.

 

The Gallery of Battles exhibits a series of eleven paintings illustrating the main military victories of the Grand Condé in chronological order.
