The Château de Voltaire is located in Ferney-Voltaire in the department Ain in the region Auvergne Rhône Alpes.
It is close to the border with Switzerland.
It was Voltaire’s home between 1761 and 1778.

The park with an area of seven hectares18 allows Voltaire to develop several spaces. It will be composed of a charmille at the back of the castle but also an orchard, and decorated with several ponds.
