Amiens

Amiens is  located in the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France.

 

From Paris Gare du Nord is 1h30 by train.

Amiens has an important historical and cultural heritage, on which a significant amount of tourism is based.

 

Apart from the cathedral, there is the hortillonnages , the Jules Verne House, the Tour Perret, the Musée de Picardie, the zoo , the quarters of Saint-Leu and Saint-Maurice and more.

 

Amiens has the largest Christmas market in northern France. 

 

It is known for the  “macarons d’Amiens.
