Château de Tarascon – Centre d’art René d’Anjou – is fortified castle that stands inTarascon, in the Bouches-du-Rhône département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
It is rebuilt in the15th century.
From Avignon TGV centre is 15 minutes to Tarascon by train.

A great deal of graffiti can be found throughout the castle, including in the state rooms and outbuildings, since the castle was used as a prison from the 17th century onwards.
A census of the inscriptions has enabled us to draw up a typology of the prisoners: their nationality, origin and the day they were imprisoned.
