The Porte Cailhau is a gateway in the city of Bordeaux.

It served as both a defensive gateway and a triumphal arch.

The original gate was built into the 14th-century ramparts. It was replaced by the current monument between 1493 and 1496.

The Grosse cloche de Bordeaux is the nickname given to a building that served as the gateway to the medieval ramparts and the belfry of the old town hall.

It was built in the 15th century on the remains of the former 13th-century Porte named after the church  Saint Eloi on the left side next to it.
