Abbaye de Chaalis

Abbaye de Chaalis was a French Cistercian abbey north in Fontaine-Chaalis in the department Oise in the region Hauts de france.

It was founded in 1136.

The monastery was sold and demolished during the French Revolution’

Castle-museum, park, rose garden, ruins of the abbey church and chapel.

 

From 1 April to 30 September, the estate is open every day from 10am to 6pm.


From 1 October to 31 March, the estate is open at weekends and during school holidays, from 10am to 5pm.

The estate currently contains the ruins of the former abbey church and cloister.
