The abbey was founded on St. John’s hill in 1076 by Hughes Le Blanc.

Soissons  is a commune in the  department of Aisne, in the region of Hauts-de-France.

From Paris gare du Nord is around 1h10 by train. 

Abbot’s Lodge

The church of Saint-Pierre.

 

This small church now serves as a mausoleum for the victims of deportations during the Second World War, and contains a funeral urn containing ashes collected at Auschwitz.
