Fort Sedan

The castle of Sedan is located in Sedan in the department of the Ardennes in the region of Grand Est.

From Paris Gare de l’Est is 2h00 by train to Sedan. 

 

The construction of the castle started in 1424. 

The castle was used as a military hospital by the German army in World War I. 

 

 

Today the castle contains a hotel and a museum showing the lives of inhabitants throughout its history and the Franco-Prussian War.
