Vézelay

Vézelay is located in the department of Yonne in the  region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

 

It is best known as a place of pilgrimage and for its abbey church, the Basilica Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, a structure from the 11th century.

It’s officially listed as one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.
