Alençon is located in the Orme department in the region Normandy.

The Château des Ducs d'Alençon is a former fortified castle dating from the late 12th century, now destroyed.

The remains of the castle are located in the town center.

The Maison d’Ozé is a medieval-style residence in the Notre-Dame district of Alençon.

 

It was built in 1450.

Charles de Valois, Duke of Alençon, and his wife Marguerite de Navarre lived here.

 

Today, it is home to Alençon’s tourist office
