Abbaye aux Dames

The Abbaye aux Dames (Abbey of the Ladies)is a historic monastery founded in 1062 by Queen Matilda of Flanders, the wife of William the Conqueror.

 

It is one of the most important medieval sites in Normandy.

The Abbaye aux Dames is open to visitors.
