Menton

Menton harbour. 

The Bastion in Menton harbour was built  as an advanced defence for the port in 1636. Today, it houses one of Menton’s two museums. 

Menton is located in département des Alpes-Maritimes in the region Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur close to the French-Italian border and  principality of Monaco.

 

It is famous for its lemon festival.

 

From Paris Gare de Lyon is 7 hours by train with 1 change in Nice.
