The Château de Chambord is located  in Chambord in the departement Centre-Val de Loire.

Chambord is one of the most recognisable châteaux in the world because of its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture, which blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Renaissance structures.

The castle was build in 1519. The construction took 28 years.

The château also features 128 metres of façade, more than 800 sculpted columns and an elaborately decorated roof.
